If you live in or around our hometown of Toledo, Ohio, you’ve heard of Mancy’s Steakhouse. It’s been a local favorite for more than a century.

The Mancy family also owns Bluewater Grille, Mancy’s Italian Grill and Shorty’s True American Roadhouse. We’ve been providing On Hold Marketing to the entire group since 2003.

A Delicious Story

Owner Gus Mancy was talking with Creative Consultant Caley Dennis about his next OHM content update. “He mentioned that two younger members of the Mancy family – Nikolas and Michael – were now running Shorty’s and he seemed very proud of that,” said Caley. “So, I decided to have lunch at Shorty’s that day to see if I could gather any new information for their On Hold Marketing copy.”

Caley said, “I had a nice conversation with Nikolas. He runs the front of the house, while Michael runs the kitchen. Nikolas said he’s excited that Mancy family members are on-site full-time again at Shorty’s. He said there’s a commitment and a certain energy that comes with that.”

So, how did Caley rate her experience at Shorty’s? “I had the brisket, pulled pork and, of course, the corn muffins. They were all delicious. The atmosphere is great, too. It was a drizzly day, so the fires were crackling in both the fireplace and patio pit. And the place smells amazing!”
