The On Hold Messaging Association

BusinessVoice is a member in good standing of OHMA – the On Hold Messaging Association - and we’ve been very active in its growth since the beginning. BusinessVoice President Jerry Brown has served as both OHMA Chairman and Vice-Chairman. He spent several years as OHMA’s Marketing Chair and still holds a position on the committee today. Mearl Sutton, our Director of National Sales, served on OHMA’s Board of Directors and as the Chair of the Marketing Committee.

Other BusinessVoice team members have contributed to the organization’s marketing efforts, including the development, implementation, and administration of the OHMA website.

Founded in 2001, OHMA works to:

  • Expand awareness of the On Hold Messaging industry
  • Promote ethical and professional business practices
  • Assist On Hold Messaging agencies with the development of their businesses
  • Enhance the relationship between member agencies and their clients through education, self-regulation, and service and support excellence

OHMA also serves as a reliable source of information for anyone interested in learning more about On Hold Messaging. And in the event of an unresolved service issue or other type of complaint, OHM customers can bring their grievance to the attention of the OHMA board. Members not involved in the dispute will serve as impartial third-party mediators.
