Make 'Em Laugh With Your Marketing

Here at BusinessVoice, we've always been big fans of using Humor On Hold, but we're not the only ones who think you can have a good laugh and send a great marketing message too, even if you're a "serious" company or organization. The folks who run the Craighead County Jonesboro Public Library in Jonesboro, Arkansas clearly have a sense of humor. Take a look at their new YouTube video series entitled, "The Library" that's a take-off of TV's "The Office":

While a few YouTube commenters didn't appreciate the humor, most who posted comments just loved it.  Supporters defended the project against the naysayers, noting that the first video generated over 2,000 views to promote the Genealogy Night event for a fraction of the cost of printing the same number of flyers. The question is this -- if an organization with a straight-laced reputation like a public library can have fun and send a marketing message with a few laughs, what's stopping you from trying it?
